If a five minute inconsequential scene were removed and three dozen f* words, this would be a great book and potential series for myself and my friends. Too bad alternatives couldn’t be found by the author to increase the readership pool.
One other note, there was a scene which required suspension of disbelief where a dust cloud explodes. The author explains how dust tends to explode, but this is only true for flammable dust materials (organic /some metals /etc) which the cave didn’t have.
