The limitations of the author that came out in Life Reset are on full display in this series. Supposedly mature and cool-headed characters repeatedly act irrationally in childish and reckless ways. They lose their cool to make the story more dramatic, rather than because it makes sense for the character.
These characters aren’t ppl playing a game as a goblin and losing their hold on reality. They are tech-infused adults, and even veterans. Childishly reactionary behavior is below them, but I keep feeling they’re just a bunch of cliche characters playing their part in a cheesy horror movie form the 90’s.
