Ok I liked to book for a while. It’s humor is mediocre at best but the game system and character progression is cool and there were a number of well written funny moments. The main characters life however comes into play a lot and made the ending feel strained. I can see the build up and they hinted at it a lot but it made the whole plot feel stretched. In fact spoiler alert it pretty invalids any reason for the MC to play the game at all and throws out all his hard work for nothing. Just an emotional scene that I didn’t really feel any connection to because everything is backstory. Not sure if I am going to buy the sequel yet because of that.
