A fun ride, but suspension of disbelief is occasionally difficult.
The crusade against a huge drug cartel by the protagonist and his close associates pushes against the bounds of rationality. Also, there is off-screen action that is alluded to but the results of which are never really seen.
This book is about action, not really character, and Wortham is at his best when concentrating on character. It’s not bad, but it’s not really what I was hoping for.
