From start to finish, I loved this audiobook. At times, I couldn’t stop listening — throwing a wrench in for things that require me to be fully present. 🙂
Milo and Niall are both delightful (and we have wonderful cameos from Silas and Oz). It was hard to go through the beginning part where Milo was suffering from an abusive relationship but thankfully it was a single chapter. What was vivid was that the abuse might have been less than a year but recovery took at least 5 years and more. What a remarkable journey for Milo and how satisfying that he got what we really need and deserve — a wonderfully hard earned HEA with Niall (who really really worked very hard to get to that HEA together with Milo) .
Joel Leslie as usual makes it remarkable easy to fall into the story and keep me immersed in the story. It’s easy to distinguish between characters (because he made them distinct from each other) so you are not wondering who just said what. The quality of his narration really makes the story vivid in my mind.
The story is funny, sweet, delightful, heart-breaking at times, and simply romantic (brought to life by wonderful narration). If you are a fan of Lily Morton, this is a must buy audio as usual. Highly recommended.
