I saw someone complain about racism. Apparently the species that he plays as was very invasive. Due to potential genocide of their species they started war to increase their land so that they may better survive. The other races that survived have grudges. So I wouldn’t say racist per se. but they are universally hated due to the actions of their species. Two main characters get along extremely well at one point. There’s some personal growth there as well. The only thing that’s got me laughing consistently is I think his characters are all murder hobos. Everyone has got to kill everything. but I think some people wouldn’t enjoy that. overall the narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to life so no personal issues there. like I have nothing to critique on that. The story overall was like a 7 out of 10 for me. Progress is quick enough for my taste. Story was a bit fresh as it used something that wasn’t human for a change. props of the author for not making alignment black or white. I probably wouldn’t re-listen to this book but if he came out with a second I’d probably spend the credit to snagit. Mr writer I would like lore. As a dungeon master I get what you did I just want to know the reason that they’re so disliked. like what exactly did they do in the war that generated universal hate. and enough reason for the majority of the population that plays this game to not want to select the race due to the high social penalties that are involved with playing with it?
