The Venue by T.J. Payne was SUCH a fun listen! What a unique idea for a somewhat comical, dark, twisted thriller. I’m a wedding photographer, and I’ve experienced a lot of crazy things at weddings over the years, but this one really tops them all and thankfully, I haven’t experienced a wedding like this yet, Ha! Seriously though, I listened to this all in one day, it was that entertaining. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more of this author’s novels.
Amy, her parents and ex-girlfriend travel internationally to attend her childhood best friend’s wedding, all expenses paid. Sounds like a dream, right? Nope. Amy and the other guests quickly realize that the bride and groom have gathered everyone that they feel has ever slighted them to their wedding to participate in a bloody, battle royale. So fun and entertaining!
P.J. Morgan did an excellent job narration this story. She was easy to listen to and brought life and emotion to the characters. I would definitely listen to more of her performances in the future.
