This is a great quirky cozy mystery and Angie Hickman’s narration helps it come alive. With fabulous character voices and a bright and dynamic delivery the personality of the characters shines through.
Of course it helps that the book is well written. If you’ve read or listened to the first book then you have pretty good idea of what you’ll think of this book too. You could listen to this as a standalone, but it has spoilers for book one, so it’s best to listen in order.
I’m loving the very slowly developing relationship in this book, the hint of romance helps keep this mystery cozy. Speaking of the mystery… I did not see that coming! All the clues are there, but they’re carefully hidden and it took me completely by surprise.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
