Men are often accused of being non-emotional, logical beings. Not true. We are emotional, but we do compartmentalize, placing those emotions in a place to deal with later when they are needed. Opus Odyssey is a book that will have you opening those compartments and analyzing them. Splaying them out before you in silent contemplation for awhile after the final sentence. Boyd Craven’s story had me driving in silence, with emotional compartments wide open. I’ve never had one of big publishing house authors do that. I hope the story of Opus and the humans he own continues…it needs to.
