I’ve been an avid epic fantasy reader/listener for years. Recently I found “He who fights with Monsters” and got pulled into litRPG. I found Shadeslinger to be a great story that didn’t get bogged down with item and level descriptions. Unlike, “The Land” by Aeron Kong which has so much potential, but is ruined by overkill item details making me lose interest. In addition unlike “The Land” where everything is given to the main character, and everything works out for him, Ned in this series has some real struggles and even setbacks. It really helps add depth to the character, who I admit at first I didn’t like, but that changed as the story developed.

Also, love brearded Frank. He’s the man!

Looking forward to diving into the rest of the series.
