I enjoyed this book, but it has some issues.
This book mirrors the first in too many ways. It is not bad, but it follows the same formula: slight progress, good guy goes bad, training montage, followed by the MCs saving the day. The highlight of the series in my opinion is the growth of the rest of the main party more so than Vincent’s. The addition of the side stories for Noah and Emilia is nice, but takes up way to much of the book, without adding much to the actual story.
The narrators do a good job, but Soundbooth Theater really detracts from the quality of their voice actors by adding sound effects and music seemingly at random. Considering they are adding more and more, I may begin avoiding any series they take part in.
I am still on the fence on whether I will continue this series.
