We all know who Stephen King is. Many of us also know that King made a shared-universe series for his ultra-fans called the Dark Tower series. This book is Phipps’ Dark Tower. Almost every published book he’s written gets an homage in here of some sort. I call it his Super Dark Tower Smash Bros book, and any constant reader of Phipps will DROOL over this book. If King wrote a book where all of his characters had a tournament of champions… well, the critics would hate it, BUT the fans would HAVE to read it. I WANT TO SPOIL it all, but if you’re a fan of his other series, some spoilers are on the front cover. This being Audible, I couldn’t really READ the cover and had no idea until the audio introduction started… and I “pricked up my ears.”
I HOPE Phipps has the fan-base needed to just LOVE this book’s fan service. I know he hasn’t been around that long, but he can write, and his books are a LOT of fun.
Authors I like include Larry Correia, Stephen King, and Jeff Strand (he gets a little extra silly sometimes). C.T. Phipps is right there and needs to be read by lovers of a good humorous book that can make you feel happy, excited, devastated, and more.
Jeffrey Kafer knocks it out of the super-hero park AGAIN for this book. I can’t imagine anyone else reading this book to me.
