This mystery was well plotted and it was uncertain until the end who the killer way, but the characters never seemed real. I thought this might be a YA novel. The way the two main teenaged characters talked was unrealistic. And although the book was presumably set in the present day, neither Jack nor his buddy owned a cell phone, and Jack’s father didn’t have the presence of mind to carry his phone with him. Jack’s love interest in a rich girl also seemed far fetched. And the narration was only so-so; some of the voices were poorly done. My recommendation: This book isn’t bad but you can definitely find better.
