I dip into these kind of novels from time to time,and this trilogy is the legit best so far.
Great world building.
Mostly well rounded characters.
“Fade to black”method for sex scenes.
Interesting relationship dynamics.
Lots of nods to various tropes.
It’s best to take each book as a slightly alternate reality following the same timeline. (you’ll see)
Fair warning: Going from the second to third book can be very jarring the first time.
Could write an entire essay on the possible pros and cons of the series, which shows how much I actually care about them.
