This book addresses the perverted image that society and tradition have projected on to many Christian husbands and fathers. An image of total dominance over their wives and children as the manifestation of the divine order of familial headship. More importantly, in my opinion, this book addresses the misconception of male superiority. The author presents an alternative to that imagery, one which calls attention to how to live out the ordination placed on Christian husbands and fathers as the head of the family unit in which the husband and father’s ultimate authority is rooted in Christ’s example of humility and self-sacrificing love.
