Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I listen to books during my commute and this was worth the time.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
…Huh.
Could you see Super Sales on Super Heroes being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
It could easily be made into an anime as it draws many many themes from Harem style animes.
Any additional comments?
This is an interesting book on a number of levels. The plot isn’t one of those. It’s not bad, but it reads like a personal fantasy; an ego trip on paper. “Marty Stew” acquires beautiful, super powered slaves by accident, helps them and they fall hopelessly in love with him. For all that, the larger story arc has kind of a Schindler’s List vibe which surprised me.

Of concern is that is a disturbing amount of graphic violence to the women in the book. Women aren’t the only ones to experience that violence, but the author takes time to describe their injuries in graphic detail. He does not do this for the male characters. Make of that what you will.

That said, the author has some some really nice prose in places, the writing was noticeably batter the further into the book I got. If I had to guess, I think the main character’s growth mirrored some personal growth of the author as he developed the story. The overall premise of the main character and the world are interesting and I think worth developing.
