I’ve enjoyed several Bentley Little books and was excited to start this one. It was a good story but a bit awkward and uncomfortable at times. It’s a mix of King’s Needful Things and capitalism gone too far. I liked the general theme.
I didn’t enjoy the narrator of this book. I’m listening to another book narrated by Stifle now and I’m enjoying his performance. I’m not sure why his reading of The Store wasn’t as good.
The Store is worth the credit if you really enjoy Little’s other books.
