I will admit that when I bought this book I wasn’t expecting a lot. The Naration caught me right away as it felt very natural. Jeff Hays is always a favorite so his addition also added depth. This is what I consider a very unobtrusive LitRPG. It doesn’t have the repetition that some of the more popular titles have, but it has enough to keep it in the forefront. The story did seem a little rushed at times, but I think it was an effort to not have the overall story bogged down with the aforementioned repetition. You can only have so many battles with spiders before it starts getting boring. The book ends up being fast paced with just the right amount of humor injected by the games AI. I look forward to the next book in the series.
