I got really bored during the scenes that described the female character’s bodies and the sex. they weren’t disgusting. about along the lines of a Jim Butcher novel but without the detective prose to sanitize them.
The large party combat that doesn’t include stats and builds for the members and even the main character not detailing as much of his progression as is standard in the genre also bored me.
I think this author might want to write books in a different genre but thought litrpg is welcoming of new writers. This may have been true but the genre has so many novels now that I believe it is time reviews must become more discerning. The audience deserves good fiction more than authors deserve a free pass.
