The story was good but I’m more of a show me don’t tell me reader. There is lots of information to learn about prepping and survival. However the wife Lisa really made the story hard to get into because she’s a really difficult person to like. She treats Grant like a child and makes his life difficult if not impossible even when things are very obviously going to happen. She’s impossible to please and fights him on everything and leaves the reader wondering why. You can’t find one redeeming quality in her and because Grant thinks he’s a “loser” that he’s the luckiest man alive because of her looks and because she’s a doctor, it’s pathetic.
