The story is surprisingly deep!

I enjoyed the Caverns and Creatures books and the Spells, Swords and Stealth series so I decided to read more RPG stories. I wanted to give Jeff Hays a standing ovation after his performance because it was so good. I thought there was a separate female reader but it is all Jeff. I care about the characters and I’m looking forward to the upcoming novels. The commercials at the end of the novels are hilarious.

When I say the story is surprisingly deep, I mean it in a good way. William Gibson is a wonderful sci-fi writer who writes so densely that I didn’t have the vocabulary or attention span while driving to properly follow along with the story. Dinniman is much easier to follow so I don’t have to rewind so much. Even though the read is easy, there is still interesting story arcs that go beyond killing the goblins to death.
