The story started off ok, at times you really have no true protagonist. The author fails to take into account that this game would not be as popular do to the perma death if you are not super rich AND if pvp griefers in game could possible HIDE your body to prevent resurrection. Then this started down the Mary and Gary Sue road about mid way through and then went off the freaking rails in the last 2 hours of the book.
If you survived the book until the last 2 hours for the Sand Lord fight and battle for the Keep, you will see blatant Mary and Gary Sue moments. For example Liam being able to raise pets during a raid over and over again, with no cool down. Kat getting rezzed and being buffed after the rez? Some how capturing a base without the 5 days of fighting and without the troops to even hold the said base all while being out numbered 10 to 1? What is laughable during this hole time, they have 1 guy that would be able to rez 1 person every hour at 1000 gold per person. You telling me this 1 guy is totting around Ten’s of thousands of gold to rez people? Give me a break, in a real PVP battle that dude would be the first to die in the first hour of battle much less 5 days!
