I was disappointed by this start to a new series. Usually these two authors are a winning combination for me, but this fell a bit flat. The book follows a budding romance between Silver and his bodyguard Bram. Alongside this there is the story of why Silver and his band need protection in the first place. I found this back story interesting, but the ending was tied up in such a rush that I had to listen to it a couple of times to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. The romance between Bram and Silver was sweet even if it was a bit predictable.
