- If you could sum up Savage Homecoming in three words, what would they be?
- Exciting, engaging, fantastic.
- Who was your favorite character and why?
- Jason of course.
- Have you listened to any of Paul Heitsch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
- No, I have not. But he’s excellent.
- If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
- The only thing between the ruination of the earth and its salvation is one man, one team, and one obsession.
- Any additional comments?
- I have to disagree with one reader’s comment, “I did not like this book! Jason, the leader, often throws temper tantrums, acts like a dictator to his crew, fails to listen to their advice, almost gets everyone killed, and to top it off, the book becomes a romance novel!.”
I had read this comment before I listened to the book. I expected the worst. I could not believe that we listened to the same book. Jason barked a few times because he was so passionate that he knew what was best to intervene on earth’s behalf but his disagreements were few and perfectly placed. As for the “romance novel” part, again, I didn’t interpret it that way. He was gallant and committed to the woman but there was nothing overt or overly sexual at all. There were a few tender moments but they were way less than PG-13 and helped drive the story and his passion for the mission.
I thought this was one of the best in the series so far.
