The saga continues, and I for one continue to enjoy it. The litRPG aspects are well developed and compelling, and deftly interwoven with players’ IRL lives.
The story also explores the potential of AI growing beyond what the developers intended, and is written as a character. Sentience, however, is another matter. Is the in game AI truly experiencing independent awareness? And what could that even mean, for the game, for the world at large? This tantalizing theme is sure to be developed more in the books to follow.
Excellent narration, with consistently unique character voices!
This series is not so much one for starting in the middle. While there is the usual references to important events in prior books, the story could not be as good without all the back story.
If you’ve been enjoying the series so far, definitely read this book!
