I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I am going to be brutally honest about this book.
From the first moment Cara met Theo she became obsessed. Majority of the book was about how much she loved Theo and how much she thought they were perfect together and why isn’t he here with her. This book had about four and a half hours worth of pining over a man. Yes there was somewhat of a plot but it was more about an 18 year old with a crush. I do understand the Cara is 18 but still I think that she should feel that she deserves more than having to go back and forth with.
Cara started off interesting enough but as soon as she met Theo she became another character who only thought about boys. I can honestly say that I will not be listening to the next book in the series, The Immortal Truth. I don’t think I can listen through another 5 to 6 hours about Cara and her feelings about Theo and how much Theo and her are meant to be together and how much her and Theo love each other. Maybe if I was younger this book would have been something I would have enjoyed but at this stage in life I can’t deal with the melodrama.
