This is a great series. The voice quality is excellent, and the shift between voice actors isn’t noticeable (if you find tone shifts jarring). The idea of an ant as the main character offers a different viewpoint and details about insects that I never imagined. The ability to skip the stat blocks has also been a great addition as separate chapters, so you don’t get bogged down by long strings of names and stats as Anthony’s number of skills grows.
My only real gripe that I’ve had with the book, which began with the last book, is the amount of times that the itch is mentioned. I know it’s an essential distinction because other monsters don’t have this experience; however, we understand that the itch is terrible if you’ve been reading g the story thus far. We don’t need to keep rehashing this unless there is a monumental shift in the experience (which there usually isn’t.)
