The good, the narrator always does a good job.

At the start of the book, there was absolutely nothing new except instead of a hero we had a heroine so I stuck with the book hoping there would be some good twist. There were twists, but only ones that made the heroine look like an idiot. Our heroine has trained to be a survivalist basically since birth. At the start when it was required she kills two people who attempt to stop her on the road. A small time later when she can just pull off down the road she waits for no reason until the situation has fallen apart before she finally just pulls off down the road. Then she decides to stop fix her friends cut and pulls off in a parking lot full of thugs no problem as they watch she will just pull behind the building and be safe, for some reason that doesn’t work out. Then her friend’s cut face hurts and she wants to give her some Tylenol from the bag under her seat so she pulls off in the woods. She gives her some Tylenol from the bag under her seat and gives her a sleeping bag to take a nap because the truck seat is not comfortable laid back and it would have been hard to reach under the seat and get the Tylenol. Again threat coming so they leave. Then she decides instead of driving 3 hours to a safe house she will take a break at one closer and just drive an hour. Now comes the point where I would have thrown a paper book across the room. At the safe house after everyone has talked about how the things on the road will only get worse by the day she decides to spend a few days with them and help them get caught up with farm chores. Of course, she could have made it home the next day. The heroine was made into an idiot and I couldn’t read anymore.
