the main character is too smug and annoying with a perfect life (millionaire homes and holidays etc) in this book. the first book was better. the first book involved struggles with addiction and unhappy emotions. but in this book it’s boring, they have a perfect relationship but it feels shallow, & unrealistically perfect. and the smugness of the main character is annoying. I think the story gets more interesting later but the annoying lead character’s personality and their smug shallow emotions grates on me.
