I haven’t read a stalker romance quite like this one before. The first 50% really gripped me and I couldn’t put it down. I surprisingly loved the hero Ari. I always love a good psychotic/obsessive hero, but there was something particularly endearing about Ari. He literally devoted his entire life to caring and looking out for Adeline, despite the implications that his past actions have had on her life. I was initially intrigued by the heroine Adeline, but I liked her less and less as the story progressed. Her actions didn’t always make sense to me. There were several times throughout the story where I questioned why Ari’s fixation on her was so unwavering.

Also, this was waaaay too long. It dragged quite a bit from the 70% point on. I also found the ending to be a little anticlimactic for my liking.

Regardless, this was a fun time and I need Lincoln’s story in my hands NOW.

CWs for abusive relationships, cheating (heroine cheats on her abusive husband with the hero), heroine being drugged, forced medication, stalking, murder, dub con, conversations about suicide

^There’s probably a lot more I could include but I wanted to avoid spoilers.
