At first I wasn’t to sure what to think about the story. The first 1/4 of the book is a lot of jumping around with often prior origination story and semi up to date events often months or years between them. Then once Pen Mitchell finally get’s introduced and meets with Liz it turns into a brazen whirlwind of events. With it being a mix of Chuck, the X-files, Ancient Aliens, Angles and Demons, conspiracies are not always formed by crazy nut jobs in metal shacks in the woods. Sometimes they themselves form in the depths of the government. Overall I thought the narrator was excellent and the story good once it got past the disjoined first quarter of the book but it does come into play eventually although at first it may be a bit hard to follow.
