I know it sounds weird but even though a lot of them kind of p*ssed me off, their inner dialogue, actions, and assumptions didn’t really require too much suspension of disbelief for me. There was a lot of arrogance, insecurity, but also acceptance.

I appreciate that the “miscommunication trope” didn’t drag for a million chapters and they resolved it like real people for the most part. (“Hey you p*ssed me off. I don’t necessarily forgive you yet but I suppose I’ll eat these pop tarts you cooked”)

The horror elements seriously had me on the edge of my..phone, (I guess.) The villain’s level of depravity -that totally isn’t outside of the realm of possibility in real life- freaked me out. People like that exist.

I’m not used to Joel doing non-British accents so that kind of threw me off, but once I adjusted, I was still able to enjoy it and honestly some of them made me chuckle. (Joel with a twang will always tickle me to no end)

Overall, I loved it. I listened to it 3 times back to back to recall certain details that I may have missed and I enjoyed it every time.
