This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author and I would like to listen to the rest of the series. I have previously listened to book 3. After escaping the retirement community turned military run compound, Brad is on his way to tracking down Anna and the kids, whom he was separated from. Of course, why they were separated is not explained since it is surely the topic of the previous books. Despite not having listen to the first two books I still find the story engaging. Each one seems to have its own story thread with a version of conclusion and a lead into the continuing story.

If living in the frozen world is not difficult enough.

This is the eighth book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Andrew B Wehrlen ) and as I did not doubt- another great performance. He reads this genre well with the right amount of expression and realism. The tone of his voice adds to the dark nature of the stories.

Previous reviewer‘s commented on a mistake in the chapters but this has been corrected

There are no explicit sex scenes, or excessive gory violence. I do not recall if there was swearing.
