Do not read/listen to this story unless you are emotionally ready. This book has soared past my favorites and has landed firmly in my number one spot. I cried and cheered the whole way through. This author has hit absolutely every check mark on my list. It was real, it kept me enthralled, it was love and it was pain, it fantasy with connection, and it was something I never wanted to put down.
The character development was so well written that when a character went through an emotion it would pull you deeply into it. Suddenly, it wasn’t just Ox that was crying or angry, happy or surprised the reader was too. I cannot help but think that part of this was thanks to the performance of the narrator. Yet, the vivid detail, the wonderfully described characters. Now that… well that comes from the author alone.
I will definitely be visiting this story again and again.
