This is my favorite genre and this book, the start of a series, missed the mark. Very outlandish conspiracies that look to discredit agencies that work hard to defend the nation. The main character is less than believable and “super” human at times. This isn’t the everyday SHTF story but a hyperbolic attempt to overblow the capabilities of a “normal” community.
