This is an enjoyable second chance romance, the storylines are original and held my attention from start to end. The characters are realistic and likable, they are easily to relate to. Scott Taylor is a professional hockey player, he plays for a team in Indianapolis but goes back to his hometown in Alaska every summer. Becca Philips was his first love, his only love and she has been on his mind wondering what ifs. Becca is an ER nurse in his hometown, Scott is her first love, she had to let him go when he became a professional hockey player, she did not want to compete with puck bunnies. He is back in town celebrating his Stanley cup win with the people in the town. When he sees Becca, he asks her to go out with him and she agrees. Their story is a sweet one, they find their love and attraction is still going strong and they want to get it right this time. I liked how their story plays out, there is not a lot of drama or angst just a sweet romance. I liked the camaraderie amongst the team members and how tight and supportive their friends and family are. Samantha Lind, thank you for this terrific story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige are wonderful narrators and talented voice artists. They bring the characters to live giving each their own voice and personality., their portrayal of the characters is spot on. You could hear how much heart they but into their work as they capture and project the characters emotions into their performance. The are entertaining storytellers and always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen?
