No spoilers here, but as I reached the end of this collection, I felt genuine sadness.

Don’t hesitate to buy this if you like classic science-fiction, good characters, and a wonderful performance of narration. My sadness was one of saying so long to loved companions. We all have to do this in life — and sure, doing it in the real it is much harder than coming to the end of a story full of fictional people. But in fiction, while immersed in the story — we cannot help but make analogs to our own lives.

These people, this crew are exactly the kind of creations I would love to have a beer with. And, if the universe and possible universes are infinite, they do exist somewhere sometime. Dive in and take a trip into the deep astral. It will help you to remember why we let people into our lives and call them friends.
