The main character himself is basically a wall. The major tension near the climax was that his friends were kidnapped and ready to get mind-destroyed. It made me extremely uncomfortable when one of the girls was used as a doll. I hope it’s not, but it felt very fetish-y to me. I normally love a chase, when the main character is being hunted by another group, but in this case it was just sort of, uncomfortable.
