I love RPG computer games, but sadly, I’ve found LitRPG to be tedious. Earlier books in this series combined an interesting story with LitRPG elements such as character classes, magic types, etc. This book seemed to be a repetitive description of battles and puzzle solving while talking about Words (spells) and magic types and effects. It was tedious to finish, but I made myself do it because I felt compelled to find out how the characters finish the quest, but it took me weeks because I kept zoning out and stopping the book. I felt I needed to cast Literary Endurance and Focus to make myself keep hitting play on this one.
