Ya need to read book one before you start this book; it’s really important to understand what’s entailed in the overall book! I was completely taken back by these books. Mr. Bates has out done himself with this series! The complexity in these characters and the inner actions between all of the main character’s and secondary character’s is outstanding! Their is so much grief, in fighting, back stabbing, sabotaging, Seal’s to the rescue, a child verbally abused, etc. it’s a real gut wrenching story of how awfully families can be. This book takes an almost realistic look at how real life can be. I am not going to spoil the ending, but please take the time to read these two books, you will not be disappointed with Mr. Bates outstanding writing’s! If you are luck enough to have the opportunity to be able to listen to them on Audible, please do; it will add so much more to your over all enjoyment of these two books.
