Always a delight to listen to, Leslie North takes us to Italy with Luciana, Natalia and Gianpierre. Luciana is settling in Italy where her sister recently was killed and she has become an instant mother to her niece Natalia. When she gets a job as a project manager, she finds herself attracted to her boss Gianpierre, but has no time for love. Gianpierre is passionate about his work at his resort, but has his sites set on furthering his career and name, no time for a relationship. North has a way of writing that warms my heart. Each character has a depth to them that I find easy to connect with. No matter their station in life, their problems are ones that I can relate to, and can feel their emotional turmoil as well as happiness. I loved the addition of a child in this one, Natalia stole the show for me. Her interaction with Gianpierre is heart melting.
Narrated by Connor Brown , it’s another winner for me to listen to! He has a wonderfully warm voice and a great variety of characters. He does especially well with the accent for Gianpierre and I loved his little girl voice for Natalia!
