E Davies’s strongest point is her characters. Zeph and River have enough emotional baggage between them to fill the hull of a Boeing 747, but they haven’t lost the ability to love. It just takes nearly an entire book to admit it, but the struggle is both engaging and believable, so I enjoyed myself a lot! Will there be more books in this series? I hope so!
