Chaz and Jillian had hard lives. Things in their past and things happening in the present. This story has a lot of angst, love, beginnings and endings.
Chaz wants revenge against those who have wronged him and he will stop at nothing to make sure everyone single person who had their hands in her death pays. His promise to her was broken and now the time has come for people to pay but things quickly change.
Jillian also had plans and as the say the more things change to more some things stay the same. Her will is stronger and she decides she will not be a victim. Her mind is now stronger and she will get what she wants. This story is grity and eye opening. There is romance in the book but it’s dark and there is light.
This is the first book I have listened to in the series but I would recommend starting from the beginning to know all the characters.
