What an intriguing cast of characters. The Bennett family (specifically Mrs. Bennett and the 3 younger obnoxious children) and the charming wastrels trying to marry rich women. Mrs. Bennett reminds me of a bulldozer with the way she forces her wishes on everyone, then cries because she’s being treated unfairly. I could hardly stand the women. And even with all the negatives of the Bennett family, Elizabeth and Fitz managed to live a happy and productive life which I was very thankful to see. This was a very stimulating listen that provoked a myriad of emotions as I listened. Mr. Darcy was beyond reproach and had unbound integrity. He must be an angel to put up with the Bennetts and the vile and evil men of the story. I admired him greatly. I highly recommend this amazing book. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrators did an exceptional job bringing the characters and story to life.
