I liked the book, however my mother (shared library) didn’t really care for it. I personally felt rather invested in the characters and the enjoyment factor increased greatly once the main character linked up with other people instead of the boring solo stuff.
I felt the character development was a little slow but you end up learning way more about the main character than you would in other books. the reason my mother didn’t like it was the fact the author included numbers and character sheets (lots of them).
Do yourself a favor, hit the skip to next chapter button when thr chacter sheet is being read, it’s very repetitive as it’s done at the end of each chapter.
