Let me say that my review is colored by a couple of my stronger motivations.
Number one, I am am a patriot of two types, first of good, brave, sacrificial, decent and moral people of the planet earth. And second of the traditional God fearing independant, get the job done America.
Also, I love stories. I enjoy and devour many audio books, but the best ones are the ones that I feel add a little something permanent to me. This book and these characters did that.
This author may not be the most elequant, or the best tale weaver out there, and honestly I am not one to judge that anyway. I only know what a story does for me, and these books left me with a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, and a strong desire to be better.
