Both narrators are good. Male narrator has nice accent since the main male character is British. The female narrator fit the characters really well too. Both gave clear, quality performances.

Charlie was broken up with the day of her wedding, so she has some trust issues. It’s a couple years later, but she still hasn’t fully healed from her past. She has a lot of good going for her in most aspects of her life, but her love life isn’t great. She decides she wants to finish her bachelor’s degree, so she returns to college. There she meets charming, flirty actor Reed.

They become fast friends and both want more, but there’s a couple things that can cause problems. Some of the issues caused more drama than I thought they should’ve, and the things that could’ve been drama; weren’t, so it was kind of weird. I didn’t like what Charlie did towards the end; it felt like she was playing games with Reed’s heart. I get why she’s upset, but how she handled things wasn’t the best; it felt bratty. I still loved their connection though; it’s so sweet. This story is pretty much a heartfelt wholesome story, but there are those moments of steam. Those scenes aren’t fade to black, but they also aren’t in depth either. Charlie and Reed have some great passion, and his love for her was so committed. Loved how much Reed knew Charlie was the one for him. They have cute banter with each other; they make each other happy. Both characters were good, likable people that you want happiness for. Charlie was a bit neurotic at points and needed to work on her self confidence, but that works with her having issues from her break up. Reed is a totally nice guy; which is so refreshing! Maybe a bit unbelievable, but he’s just a total sweetie.

There are times the story moves a bit slowly, but some of those scenes helped build a good friendship foundation in Charlie and Reed’s relationship. The Outlander play was a fun idea and the haunted house stuff was fun too. I thought the added stuff about the Royals was weird and didn’t really fit with the story. Still other entertaining aspects that kept me reading. This story is character driven with the main focus being the romance. Overall, I found the story kept me interested the whole way through and had lots of heart touching elements.
