This is one of my favorite books in the category of humans with aliens, and Joel Leslie does an amazing job bringing it to life! He uses British accents for the two alien men (I’m pretty sure one of them is Scottish!), and they’re perfect for those characters. The American accent for the human, Carter, was very appealing, too. The part until they escape the bugs is sadder listening to it than reading it because Leslie does such a great job with the emotion of the two aliens. But the rest of the book is lighter and hilarious at times with Carter’s dry humor and Pykh discovering life outside captivity (and his constant sex drive!). I’m dying for book two to be ready!
