I’ve been a fan of Jeremy Robinson’s work for a few years now so I was looking forward to seeing what two Robinson’s could produce working together. I was not disappointing. The Distance is a tale of commitment and purpose. When everything is lost what would you do, what would you become, to hold onto your humanity.

While I loved the different take on the apocalypse it was really the exquisite balance between the two distinctly different tales which hooked me. Jeffrey Kafer narrated his 500th book masterfully and Heather Costa brought Poe’s struggles to life. Chapter by chapter the constantly evolving story unfurls across the United States growing more anxious the closer they become.

I can’t say anything more without introducing spoilers and I want the next reader to experience it just the way I did, cheering them on.
