There’s so much ground work laid to create this character, the heating of metal so it can be pounded into the shape that is needed. The word tempered comes to mind, our character is indomitable, just when you think ‘this is it’ , the author piles on more and more.
This is not a fairy tale, it’s a horror story. There may be a happy ending, but at what cost?
